UVCC Preaching Theme July-September 2024 

Series Description:

When all else fails, be aware of God’s new season for you.

What do you do when you face difficulties in life? To what can you lean on when hard times stay and hope seems to vanish into the darkness? And how do you call on God when the Lord seems silent but you feel sadness, hopelessness, and doubt are getting stronger each day because of all these difficulties. You may be leaning on your faith, your knowledge of God, and your past experiences. Maybe because that’s what you know, that’s what you're taught, and that’s what you are familiar with. Or maybe, sobrang sanay ka nang maging Christian, kaya may automatic ka nang ginagawa base sa iyong kinasanayan. However, what you very well know and are very well familiar with seems to weaken each day.

Cheer up!  God is leading you into your new season! In God’s new season for you, your old proven ways fall short. Even how you have experienced God’s goodness fades into mere memory. That’s all it was … memories. No matter how wonderful those memories were, even if those memories were majestic and awesome, and those memories were your turning points in life, That’s all they are … they were good memories. You cannot afford to live in your past success. Past victories and success could inspire you, but they could also halt you -- if you are stuck on daydreaming and saying to yourself “those were the days”. 

THE GLORY OF GOD

Series Description:

The glory of God is much different than any other glories.

There are other glories that the Bible speaks of. These glory connotes earthly kingdoms, man made structures, the position and the authorities of political figures like kings, the spiritual beings with their powers, and many other kinds of glories. The biblical theme of the glory of God can be seen all throughout the OT and the NT. The glory of God is about God's majesty, God’s authority, God’s splendor and radiance, God’s greatness and status as the Creator of the universe. There is no one in the physical and the heavenly realm that can match God even for a bit. Yahweh spoke of His glory in the OT. Jesus spoke plenty of His glory and that of the Father in the NT.

Goodness is the perfect attribute of a perfect God. There is no one who is good except God! God relates to people and His creation with goodness. God’s morals are perfect because He is good. He is holy because He is good. He created human beings and nature because he is good. God gives grace and mercy to sinful people because He is good.

Series Description:

The miracle stories of Jesus Christ give hope & faith. Knowing the heart of God by knowing the miracle stories of Jesus is such a huge step up. Why? It is because the miracle stories of Jesus Christ are the manifestations of God’s kingdom. It is the increasing fulfillment of God’s will on earth as it is heaven. If people young and old will traverse into Jesus Christ’s magnificent stories of miracles, we will be enlightened of the move of God, we will be energized by our encounter of God, we will be hopeful in encouraging other people for God, and we will be implementing kingdom truths by manifesting the kingdom of God. These two months, let’s all join together, partake, and witness the manifestation of God’s kingdom and the increasing fulfillment of God’s will on earth as it is heaven

The Book of Ephesians

Series Description:

One basic scope of the book of Ephesians reveals to us believers is that ‘Breakthroughs are waiting for the genuine believers of Jesus Christ.' Against all the challenges and the lies that the world’s system has brought us, we need to believe what was unfolded or revealed to us as sons and daughters of God. And we need to walk accordingly with what was unfolded or revealed to us through the Bible. Our lives must consist of discovering and believing the truth, and then walking according to the truth. This is another great journey of discovering, believing, and walking with Christ.

Series Description:

Kailangan ba natin ang pagkakaisa sa pamilya, sa gobyerno, at lalo na sa church? Bakit pinahahalagahan ng Biblia ang pagkakaisa? Papaano ba mararanasan ang pagkakisa? Anu-ano ang magagandang resulta kung sa kapatiran ay may pagkakaisa?

Kung mahalaga ang mga katanungang ito sa iyo, kailangan mong malaman ang mga sinasabi ng Biblia patungkol sa mahalagang topic ng ‘unity’ o pagkakaisa. At best na maunawaan po natin ito ng paunti-unti at araw-araw. That’s why maerong 21 days.

Namnamin ang kalooban ng Diyos patungkol sa pagkakaisa. Magpatuloy sa lakbayin at lumago sa iyong buhay Kristiano. This is gonna be one of the most exciting 21 days of your life.

Series Description: 

People need hope. And there is hope when we connect our lives to the life giving power of God. There is life, new life, and eternal life when we connect to God thru Jesus. We need to save lives not kill. We need to give hope to other people. We need to lose our own way of life that we may find God’s way of life. And we need to understand that worrying does not add value to life, but it subtracts from us the essence of the life of God that we can have. These are some of the miracles of encountering God. And this leads us from hopelessness to hopefulness.

Series Description: 

Kahit sino ay nangangailangan ng gabay. Kahit tayo ay dumating na sa punto na marami na tayong experiences sa buhay, mangangailangan pa rin tayo ng gabay. Ang gabay ay mahalaga pra magkaroon ng lesser or no mistakes and lesser or no failures. Ang pinakaimportanteng pwdeng panggalingan ng Gabay ay mula sa Salita ng Diyos. Mula sa Salita ay ang iba’t-ibang salaysay ng tagumpay, tamang pananaw sa buhay, mga pagbabago na dala ng pkikipag-isa kay Kristo-Hesus. Sa series na ito “Gabay Mula Sa Salita”, ang naging buhay ni Apostol Pablo ang ating bibigyan ng diin. Sigurado po na marami tayong matutunan. At ang mga matutunan na ito ay magiging ‘gabay’ sa buhay.

God is calling His people to have the same mind, the same love and the same Christ. This call for sameness has a meaning and a purpose. This call for sameness has the elements of having the same mind, the same love and the same Christ. That is why true believers need to engage in active participation. We have to consciously be aware of distractions, disunity, miscommunications, lack of meaning in life, or the likes. Only then, will the fruitfulness of whatever activities that we do will be a result of that sameness. The end result will surely be satisfying and exciting – all for the glory of God!

Suffering most of the times has a negative connotation. Many people who are suffering see it as a curse or consequence.  What if the Bible sheds light to this topic of suffering that contradicts our common knowledge or our preconceived ideas? What if suffering is God’s will to make us better people than bitter people? In this preaching series, we will learn to better respond to any suffering. Series Description: 

In view of the UVCC 14th Anniversary that emphasized on the message of Titus 2 11, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,” this preaching series continues with the “Sukdulang Biyaya” theme of the UVCC 14th Anniversary. Here, the whole book of Titus will be studied and discussed. And the new preaching series is entitled, Sukdulang Biyaya sa Tahanan Ng Diyos. 

This preaching series aims to enlighten all UVCC churches of God’s next step for the faith community. That is, to be where God’s grace is leading His people into. This preaching series will be shared on all UVCC Churches this coming December 2021 and January 2022. 

This is again an exciting two months of discovering God’s next step for HIS household of faith!
