This verse is a powerful reminder of God's unwavering love and concern for us by way of using the illustration of an ideal mother’s love for her child. This illustration tells us that even if a mother's love for her child is powerful and persistent, she may forget her child under certain conditions. But God's love for us is distinct. He will never forget us no matter what.
