Trusting God's Protection

Today's verse  Psalm 91:7 NIV

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

Read: Psalm 91

This verse reminds us of God's protection and faithfulness throughout our lives. It teaches us that even when we are surrounded by danger and confusion, we can have faith in God to keep us safe.

It is easy to become overwhelmed and frustrated, even question if there is still any hope for us when we are in the middle of suffering. Suffering may come in the form of physical disease, emotional suffering, financial difficulties, or other types of adversity.

Psalm 91:7, on the other hand, tells us that no matter how dreadful our circumstances appear, we can have faith that God will keep us safe. We don't have to be afraid of what might come against us, because God is on our side. He is greater than any danger or threat we encounter, and He will not let anything harm us.

Today, let us keep this promise of God's protection in mind. Let us put our trust in Him, with a thankful heart, and believe that He will keep us safe. We can find rest in His promises and put our faith in His purpose for our lives. Even in the midst of life's storms, may we find serenity and security in His loving arms.

Father in heaven, we come to You today grateful for Your protection and faithfulness in our life. We thank You for the assurance in Psalm 91:7 that You are with us and will keep us safe no matter what problems we face.

We admit that there are times when problems make us feel fearful or overwhelmed, threatened and uncertain, and wonder if there is any hope for us. But Your words remind us that we don't have to be afraid since You're on our side. Help us to believe in Your protection and that You will keep us secure. Give us the confidence to seek Your guidance and strength when we encounter obstacles and hardships. Help us to remember that You are always with us and will never abandon us.

We pray for those who are experiencing difficulties today. May they seek refuge and security in Your promises, and may they always be aware of Your loving presence with them. Give them the strength they need to overcome their obstacles, as well as the peace of mind that comes from knowing You have control.

Thank you for Your security, faithfulness, and love. We put our faith in You and pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
